What is Acro Yoga Workshop?
Acro Yoga combines yoga, acrobatics, and partner work. You practice yoga poses with a partner, where one person flies in the air while the other supports them. It’s part of our comprehensive yoga teacher training activities that make your learning experience fun and exciting!
What Do You Do in Acro Yoga?
- Work with a partner (we pair you up)
- Learn to trust and communicate
- One person is “base” (on ground supporting)
- Other person is “flyer” (in the air)
- Practice flying poses safely
- Switch roles so everyone tries both
- Laugh and have fun together
- Take amazing photos flying in air
Basic Acro Yoga Poses We Practice
Easy Beginner Poses:
- Front Bird – Flyer lies on base’s feet, arms spread like bird
- Back Bird – Same but flyer faces up toward sky
- Folded Leaf – Flyer sits on base’s feet in forward fold
- Throne – Flyer sits like on chair, base supports with legs
Fun Partner Poses:
- Double Downward Dog – One person on top of other
- Partner Boat Pose – Sitting and holding hands
- Flying Warrior – Warrior pose while flying
- Supported Fish – One partner helps other in backbend
These poses complement the strength you build in our Handstand Workshop and the trust you develop during Balinese ceremonies.
