What is Ice Bath?

Ice bath means sitting in very cold water for a short time. The water has ice in it. This helps your body feel better and stronger.

Why Do We Use Cold Water?

Cold water is like medicine for your body:

  • Makes your body stronger
  • Helps you feel more awake
  • Takes away pain from muscles
  • Makes your mind feel clear
  • Helps you sleep better

What Happens During Ice Bath?

Before Going In:

  • Our teacher explains everything
  • You learn special breathing
  • We check if you feel okay
  • You can ask questions

In the Ice Bath:

  • Water is very cold (like winter)
  • You sit in water slowly
  • Stay for 2-5 minutes only
  • Breathe slowly and calmly
  • Our teacher stays with you

After Ice Bath:

  • Get warm towel quickly
  • Drink warm tea
  • Body feels very good
  • Many people feel very happy

How Does It Help You?

For Your Body:

  • Muscles feel less sore
  • Body becomes stronger
  • Better blood flow
  • Less swelling and pain
  • Skin looks healthier

Is It Safe?

Yes, but not for everyone:

Good For:

  • Healthy people
  • People who want to try new things
  • Anyone over 18 years old

Not Good For:

  • Pregnant women
  • People with heart problems
  • Very sick people
  • People who don't want to try

You Can Always Say No! If you don't want to do ice bath, that's okay. We have other relaxing activities for you.

How to Prepare

Before Ice Bath:

  • Eat light food (not too much)
  • Drink water
  • Wear swimsuit or shorts
  • Tell teacher if you feel sick

What We Give You:

  • Clean towels
  • Warm clothes after
  • Hot tea or water
  • Comfortable place to rest

When Does It Happen?

  • During your yoga training
  • Usually afternoon time
  • Takes 30 minutes total
  • Only 2-5 minutes in cold water
  • Small groups (maximum 6 people)

After Ice Bath

Most people feel:

  • Sleep very well that night
