Ujjayi Pranayama – Victorious Breath

Ujjayi Pranayama, also known as the “Victorious Breath.

How to do it:
Get Comfortable:

Seek for a quiet spot to sit or lay down, being as comfortable as possible. Close your eyes, if that is your preference.

Take a Deep Breath In

: Deeply and slowly inhale air through your nose. Feel your abdomen and lower ribs stretch evenly out as you breathe in fully.

Constrict Your Throat:

When you inhale, gently press the back of your throat so that it feels like as if you’re misting a mirror using your breath. This gives the sound of ocean and also the noise is similar to a “hissing” sound.

Feel the Ocean Sound

: The sound you need to emulate should be the sound of ocean waves . It’s like a whisper trapped in the depth of your chest.

Breathe Slowly and Smoothly
